Venice Bridges and Streets

I was surprised to see that so much of Venice is actually on regular streets, with some small canals winding through it. However, there are no cars or scooters allowed, so all deliveries must be made by hand. Notice the cart with the kegs and wine bottles in the center of the first picture. Not a job I would want!
There are bridges everywhere, the most famous being the Rialto, which is the largest. The Bridge of Sighs connected the palace with the prison. The pictures at the bottom here are of the Bridge of Sighs, and the view from inside the bridge, taken while touring the palace and prison.
